The Friends of Children Foundation is committed to improving the lives of children in foster care in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

Our Programs

• Foster Child Enrichment Grant Program

We provide small grants (up to $500 per child/per year) to foster children for goods and services such as instrument rentals, music lessons, sports equipment and special interest camps. 

• Computer Grant Program

We provide small grants (up to $500 per child/per year) for foster children to purchase computers for use in their foster homes.  Our focus in on educational enrichment, and college-bound juniors and seniors. 

• Support of the Hennepin County Guardian ad Litem Program

We sponsor coordinated efforts aimed at recruiting new volunteers and retaining current volunteers for the Guardian ad Litem Program.

• Public Education Program

We strive to enhance public and professional understanding of the unique needs of abused and neglected children in foster care.
